Berry Bound

Over the Christmas break, we took a trip to our favourite small town down south—Berry—for a bit of shopping and an epic park play.
After a long drive (with a quick detour to pick up Harvey’s new push bike), we finally arrived and were ready for lunch. Thankfully, the restaurant was bustling and loud enough to drown out Harvey’s happy squeals. Classic.
Once we’d eaten, we wandered through town for a spot of obligatory shopping. But with the kids getting restless, we made our way to the park—a brilliant space where little ones can properly let loose.
Harvey cautiously gave his new bike a go on the mini road track, while Darcey zipped around on her scooter like she owned the place. Despite the bike being brand new, Harvey quickly abandoned it in favour of the slides, trampolines, and the ever-popular sandpit.
Much fun was had. And as the sun began to dip, we bundled two happy, exhausted kids into the car and headed home—content, sandy, and full of that good kind of tired only a day of play can bring.
