Berry

Another year, another family getaway to Berry — and it’s officially starting to feel like a tradition.

Every year, once the Christmas chaos settles, we load up the car and head south to our favourite little town. A small win straight out of the gates: both kids slept the entire drive. A parenting miracle.

After wandering through the shops and grabbing some food, we made our way to the kids’ park — and honestly, it’s next level. Harvey has come on in leaps and bounds with his scootering, cruising around with total confidence, while Darcey, as always, darted around at full speed like she had somewhere very important to be.

Harvey was determined I take him up the big slide, while Darcey embraced her adventurous side, scaling every climbing frame in sight — much to Harvey’s frustration, who clearly felt she was showing off. When the kids’ scooter park no longer delivered the thrill he was chasing, Harvey decided it was time to level up and insisted on tackling the adult skate park instead. Fearless doesn’t even cover it.

After several hours of running, climbing, scootering, and general exhaustion, we finally called it a day and headed home — tired, happy, and already looking forward to doing it all again next year.
